A huge anti-xenophobic march took place in Johannesburg on
Thursday, ahead of the Friday meeting in Pretoria between South African
President, Jacob Zuma, and Foreign National Groups.
Tension seems less but there are still reported cases of sporadic violence in some areas in the country.
The recent victim of the attack is a Zimbabwean lady whose decapitated body was found in the Houghton suburb of Johannesburg.
Several countries including the UK, Australia and China have issued a travel advice against South Africa to their citizens.
Over the night, the Police, backed by the Army, carried out another raid in a men’s hostel in Alexandra Township in Johannesburg, few hours after the previous in Jeppestown.
The Nigerian House of Reps has called on the South African government to begin plans for adequate compensation for Nigerian victims of the attack.
